Principal Fehrenbach’s Weekly Message
Dear LPS families,
Where are our Michigan and Michigan State fans? We are excited to announce a new college visit trip, the Rivalry Tour, on November 12. In honor of this long-standing rivalry, 50 of our 10th-12th graders will have the opportunity to visit both campuses via Charter Bus on this day.
We want your help to make this a yearly trip! Between now and the Big Game on October 26, we are asking if you’d like to donate to the trip in support of one of these schools. The University with the most donations will have their fight song played on the bus every time the students board throughout the trip. Donations are accepted via check, cash, or Square online payment. Be sure to note whether you’re a Wolverine or a Spartan supporter with your donation!
I also wanted to give a quick reminder about morning arrival time. As the weather shifts colder, we are seeing tardies increase for both elementary and secondary students. Remember that School starts at 8:20 and students should be in class at that time. Elementary students that arrive between 8:00 and 8:10 have time for breakfast before school!
